Alphabetical listing (mas o menos)

Site Search Tags: (in addition to categories) or search on your own terms in the little box in the upper right of the pages. Synonyms will often find different posts. For example, if one is looking for Alzheimer’s checklists, search for dementia, tool (as in assessment tool), neurology, long-term care.

This type of index (search tags) has some bugs, still. It searches the webpage, not the individual posts or pages. Thus, if the term overlaps whatever is in the sidebars or headers, the results may be of everything (and therefore useless). I’m working on this….

    Hi,

    I came across O’Folks from “Time Goes By” and was really impressed with the scope of your blog. I was struck, though, by the absence of one particular topic: hearing loss. Research has shown that anywhere from 35-50% of seniors experience a hearing loss. So, although you may not personally experience a hearing loss, chances are that you have friends and readers who do.

    I’d like to introduce you to a new blog called MyHearingHealth, created for those with a hearing loss and their loved ones.

    ========================================

    Thanks, John. You are right about not much available on hearing loss. There is the one virtual site that does model hearing loss for those who hear fine (see Virtual aging for living in a real world)

    Rarely are there mentions in the reading and research I do of how to improve the hearing environment of senior centers, public venues, etc. which is so important.

    The blog you refer to is sponsored by a commercial firm which manufactures hearing devices.

    Thank you, Ray, for stopping by and noticing the obvious oversight of no E-mail address. I have added it above.

    Also, thank you for your kind words. WordPress.com is very good about picking up trackbacks or pings (notices) from elsewhere on the World Wide Web whenever someone notices and posts a link to an entry here. I’m glad to know about another elderblogger.

    Hi,

    I like your site and all the information you provide on elders. You might enjoy this youtube video of the nonogenarian “post-cave” artist Leonard Breger:

    Best of luck in your projects.
